BARC is dedicated to improving the daily lives of dogs at the Athens County Dog Shelter. Each kennel is a place to rest, learn, and grow—so we focus on making these spaces calm, enriching, and rewarding.
Thanks to generous donations, the shelter now includes clear kennel barriers, soothing music, essential-oil diffusers, Kuranda beds, and enrichment tools that reduce stress and boredom. Yard improvements—like fence slats, coyote rollers, and new concrete pads—give dogs more space to play and practice their skills.
